Excellent Hotel

Have just returned from 10 days All Inclusive, The food was excellent can't fault any of it plenty to choice from all was fresh if you didn't like anything you must be very fussy. The rooms were cleaned every day clean towels etc. The entertainment team worked very hard and they were very good with the children, we were 4 adults & two children aged 6 years & 3 years. They both loved the evening disco & the show after. The life guard around the swimming pool was very vigilant and good never took his eyes of the pool. It was first time we went all inclusive and really enjoyed the holiday can't wait to go back next year . Stayed May 2013, travelled with family. // boylin: Reviewed 13 June 2013 / TripAdvisorLLC //

Decent hotel, poor food.

Stayed for 5 nights, in a double standard room, which was very nice. The room was neat and tidy upon arrival, and was made so everyday by the cleaners. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming whenever they were approached. The hotel itself is in a great location, 2 minutes down to the beach or 5 minutes up the road into Arroyo de la miel, ideal for people wanting to do what they enjoy. The thing that let it down was the food, it wasn't very appetising, tasted bad and I got the impression any leftovers were saved for the following day. Instead of eating at the hotel I went out to some brilliant Spanish restaurants/bars to have better quality food than the 'mush' at the hotel. //Richard S; Reviewed 13 June 2013 / TripAdvisorLLC //

Excellent holiday spoiled by pickpockets in the hotel

We agree with all the positive comments made about this hotel but we do question security. On our last day we were pickpocketed in the lift by a gang of four, 3 men and a woman. They had previously been seen by other guests, one of whom had had his wallet taken. It would be good to see a security presence in the hotel in order to deter thieves. Such a good hotel and holiday but with a very disappointing end. // JOHEL336. Reviewed 12 June 2013 / TripAdvisorLLC //

Weekend break

Previous reviews say it all....difficult to add anything extra. This is great family hotel and the hairdryer and toileteries were an unexpected bonus! Lifeguards on duty were vigilant, an extra pair of eyes with so many "holiday only swimmers" again was an unexpected bonus!!! I travelled with a 9yr old and booked fullboard which was perfect for us with plenty of choice at all times. The Entertainments team are full of energy with good standard of evening shows and daytime events too. All in all a perfect short break. Brilliant 2nd visit

Just returned from 5 nights at the Hotel Bali, yet again faultless. Room lovely, food lovely. Bar staff work non stop and as for the entertainment staff ... I was tired just watching them. They work all day and night entertaining the kids and the adults. The hill up to the hotel does not get any easier but its worth it. Will be returning for a 3rd visit. Room Tip: ask for a room in Bali 2 with a sea and pool view and high floor. // POPPY1612 (WREXHAM). Reviewed 5 June 2013 / TripAdvisor13 //

Great hotel, would definitely go back :)

I have just returned from a weeks holiday, half board in this hotel. Staff & Entertainment Staff Very helpful and friendly. All speak Spanish and English. The entertainment staff were great, they put on games throughout the day for the kids and adults such as mini golf, water polo, shuffle board, aqua aerobics and much more, which if you won you would get free drinks and a certificate, Evening entertainment was enjoyable and my little girl loved it. Pool Clean, plenty of sun beds and life guard present from 10 am to 6 pm every day. Rooms Small but had everything you needed balcony, dressing table, mirrors, hair dryer in the bathroom and power shower. Cleaned everyday by very friendly cleaning staff. Food A great selection every day, always something different and always very tasty. I was very impressed with the food choice. Dinner was lovely with a great salad bar and lovely selection of main meal and afters. Breakfast was the same most days with a selection of fried English breakfast, cereals, continental breakfast and fruit. All very nice!!!! Location We found lots to do, we were close to plenty of shops, the beach and taxi ride away from all the day trips. We visited aqualand, went on boat trips at the marina, cable car up the mountains and watched a dolphin show. All of which I would highly recommend if you visit here. The hotel will supply you with cheaper tickets and book your taxi which generally came to about 7 euros. The hill up to the hotel was not as bad as people make out. Non of us got out of breath walking up it each day and it was a good bit of exercise since we'd eaten so much at the buffet :). Overall I would happily go back to this hotel, we had a fantastic time here!! // fizzy0909. Reviewed 5 June / TripAdvisor LLC //

A very specific Thank You

Having spent a few years living in rural Spain, we have stayed at the Bali, usually just for one night, several times over the past few years when we fancied a weekend at the coast. It does exactly what it ways on the tin; it's a perfectly nice, well-run, family holiday hotel, catering for all ages, with decent food (really good breakfast buffet, one of the best we've seen anywhere in the world), a good bar, two pools, plenty going on and fairly well located. It's always clean, we've not had any trouble with the beds, the staff know their jobs inside out, there's onsite parking (paid for separately, but very useful in this neck of the woods), and various all-inclusive deals if you want them. On this occasion, I just want to comment on something that took place on our last stay, April 2013. When we checked out, we were going to use a UK debit card. The machine took forever and the transaction seemed not to go through, so we just paid with cash. A while later (probably two weeks) when we got back to KL, and checked our banking, we noticed that the transaction had in fact gone through. An e-mail to the Bali (not really expecting much, as it's a big group). Within a couple of working days, we got an e-mail back confirming all of this and saying the funds had been transferred back into our account, which they had. No fuss, no bother, no phone calls; you'd kind of hope that this would be standard, but let's face it, these days it just isn't. So a big Thank You to the Bali - first class! // helenm_250 ( Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) Reviewed 3 June 2013 / TripAdvisor LLC //

Good & Bad points

Reception & check in excellent could not fault them, gave us a room free of charge to freshen up on our last day before departure, very polite every time we needed them. Entertainments Team kept the kids entertained throughout the day & night work hard not to pushy with guests not wanting to join in, the kids watched every show from start to finish. Room could do with a set of drawers, plenty of wardrobe space but very few hangers so take your own to be sure as rooms will differ, nice view of pool and sea, housekeeping very good kept room clean constant change of towels we stayed in 2206, TV picked up BBC1 & 2 ITV and Film 4, room not very big but good enough. Bar this is where we had a real issue with this hotel, they have a 2 drink per customer rule which I fully understand during the evening, we were a group of 6 with children, on several occasions during the day we had bar staff ranting & raving at us because one of our group had ordered 4 bottles of water, we had 2 adults looking after the kids so one stayed by the pool watching the children whilst the other went to the bar which caused the problem, they expected us to either leave the kids on their own or get them out of the pool or away from the entertainments team to get water aged 4 & 5 this was never going to happen, we had seen adults sat at the bar drinking themselves stupid & saw one adult fall of a bar stool totaly off his head, no way was I taking children to the bar for obvious reasons, this all happened after we had been there a few days so they were well aware of the dynamics of our group, a little common sense needs to be used whats the difference between a barman serving 2 or 4 bottles of water at once when they know children are with a group? San Miguel beer good, Vodka drinkable, cocktail of the day some very nice, Bacardi like diesel & red wine served chilled!!! Pool plenty of sunbeds at any time of day & they are washed I watched them doing it early in the morning so if you find them dirty its because previous users have left them like it, as for the life guards they are the best I have ever seen, they inspect the pool and surrounding area before the pool opens & they watch the kids like hawks, seen plenty of Spanish life guards sat in chairs nodding off but these guys are outstanding they watch all the kids even if Parents are with them, I was worried we would not get a parasol for the children but you only need to ask the staff and they will get one for you, the pools are well positioned you can sunbathe well into the evening. Food we found very bland with little choice & no section for children which was a first for us & we have stayed in numerous All Inclusives throughout the Costa's, I am a fussy eater but have always found something I could eat but not this time, plenty of salad but very little to go with it in the way of cold meats or cheese, enjoyed the breakfasts but only a couple of meals during our stay, on the plus side it forced us out of the Hotel and we found a little square about 10 minutes walk up the hill with bars and eateries, we had a 3 course meal with half a bottle of wine each for 11.95 euros per head and it was very good, on our second visit we had a 3 course Chinese meal for 4.95 euros a head amazing value & very nice, local bars serve a bottle of San Miguel from 1 euro to 1.85. Exchange if you need to change cash walk down the hill then turn left walk past the Tabac shop on the right then turn right 20 yards down the road on the right Ruben Exchange for best rates 10 minute walk, do not use the one accross the road from the Tabac shop well below what Ruben will give you. // snotthepoint (Blackpool) Reviewed 1 June 2013 / TripAdvisor LLC //
