Picasso was a Spanish painter, draughtsman, sculptor, printmaker, ceramist and stage designer.  He was born in Málaga where can be visited the Picasso House- Museum. He is one of the most recognized figures in 20th-century art. He was a co-founder of the Cubist movement and he is commonly regarded as an artists who most defined the revolutionary developments in the plastic arts in the opening decades of the 20th century. In 1907 Picasso joined an art gallery that had been opened in Paris by Daniel Henry Kahnweiler, german art historian and art collector. Pablo Picasso during the cubism period moved toward abstraction, leaving only enough signs of the real world to supply a tension between the reality outside the painting.

Among most famous Pablo Picasso paintings are Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (1907) and Guernica (1937), his portrayal of the German bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War. Picasso demonstrated uncanny artistic talent in his early years, painting in a realistic manner through his childhood and adolescence; during the first decade of the twentieth century his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. He and his work were the subjects of unending analysis, gossip, dislike, adoration and rumor. No painter or sculptor, not even Michelangelo, had been as famous as this in his own lifetime. The fury of his brushstrokes is a testament to his enthusiasm for life, tragedy and romance. Picasso devoted his life to capturing them on canvas, in clay or in the words of his visionary poetry.
