This year MedPlaya Pez Espada turns 60 and we’re celebrating it!

It all goes back to 31st May 1959, when the Hotel Pez Espada opened its doors for the first time. Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor or Ernest Hemingway are just some of the figures that marked some of the most emblematic moments of the hotel. Thus, for 10 years, the hotel became the flagship of Malaga’s hotel industry.

Currently, the hotel has 205 rooms after an extension carried out in 1988 and due to the refurbishment made at the beginning of the century, it was possible to recover characteristic elements of the emblematic hotel that had been lost and soon managed, to be catalogued by the Junta de Andalucía as “Andalusian Historical Heritage”.

Now, 60 years after its inauguration, we want to celebrate with you the anniversary of the historic MedPlaya Pez Espada. For this reason, we invite you to participate in the “Photo Journal competition”, where every month we raffle 2 free stays for 2 adults on half board basis.

To participate you only have to share with us some anecdote or photo of some moment that you have lived along the 60 years of the hotel.
