Marbella isn’t just a city of glamour and luxury. If you find yourself in Marbella, apart from shopping and enjoying beach, you might like to visit the Bonsai Museum, which displays a wonderful collection of beautiful trees and forests, many of them copies coveted for their fame and centenary existence.

It is rightly named as one of the finest collections in Europe and also the best of the world’s wild olive trees.
Several of these trees come from the Torcal de Antequera.

The story highlights the interest of specimens as important as the chinese “Hackberry”  who was in the same Chinese family for five generations, or the “Olive Acebuche“ of 300 years. Some of the bonsai are samples of a nature related to the area of Marbella, out of whose hills miniatures have been recovered native species, some of them endangered such as Pinsapos.

The visit to this museum gives you the opportunity to enjoy these small but great works of art.
