Mijas Town

Steep little streets always pristine whitewashed, colourful flowerpots overflowing with geraniums, fabulous viewpoints on the mountains and the sea, small houses sitting between pine trees and palm trees … It is easy to guess why Mijas Town is properly a must.

Benalmádena Town

Away from Benalmádena’s port and large buildings we move to its original centre, “the old town.” The understated and cosmopolitan charm of this town can be felt in its narrow and cobbled streets, from whose high balconies a blue horizon is observed, in which the sky and the sea are embraced.

Comares

The beautiful and green Axarquía offers an obligatory stop in Comares, a town of Arab origin that was founded around a fortress of which remains are still preserved. Its privileged location as an old lookout post offers today beautiful views over the roofs and walls of its houses, which are embedded in rock, and its fertile land, which ensures an excellent crop of olive oil and sweet wines. In addition, this thousand-year-old town has its own style of verdiales, a colourful folkloric dance from Malaga (it is in the town where their costumes are made) that it is one of the few samples of live folklore that still exist in Spain.

Frigiliana

At the foot of a Natural Park and a few kilometres from the Mediterranean stands Frigiliana, a strikingly beautiful village, with one of the best preserved old towns in the Malaga province. It is only 6 kilometres away from the beaches of Nerja and despite that, it is an idyllic corner to escape the coastal bustle, because here the only thing you hear is the murmur of the neighbours who go out to chat at the doors of their houses. It also has an eternal spring almost all year round thanks to its subtropical climate. It sounds so good, right?

Casares

In the middle of an exceptional place is the village of Casares, full of fountains, viewpoints and picturesque spots over 400 meters above sea level. This beautiful mountain village seems to have been anchored in time, and its intricate and steep alleyways of Arabic origin will make you travel back in time.
