Excellent

Excellent as ever! Relaxing stay where nothing is a problem. Super value too! Can’t wait to come back next year.

Welcome to my House

Quick week before Christmas with my Pez family. Yes that’s correct. Each and every one of them are like my family.Always a great stay, I don’t like a lot of fuss but they have it right here. They know when I want help and they know I can be stubbornly independent. All departments are very helpful and kind.If there is a problem or a concern, dealt with immediately, I find the food very much a subjective matter. However I have never in all the years visiting found a problem. But confident if there was one, the Head Chef and his team would correct it.I am honestly happy with everything. Knowing if there was a concern it would be sorted. There is no more independent, fussy and stubborn guest than me. However as a single traveller now, I have every confidence in the Hotel Pez Espada.I feel safe and included. Thank you to all the Pez Espada Team. Diolch????????‍♀️

4th time here, might be the last

This is our 4th time staying here since 2017. We have always stayed in junior suites which used to be amazing when new. Im afraid they just dont feel as exclusive as they used to. We asked when booking to be on a high floor which we know we cant have if not available but we booked months ago and ended up on second floor. This led to us listening to upstairs dragging furniture around from 5am till midnight, my partner even named them pickfords after the removal company, it was horrendous. We booked to go all inclusive gold plus as this was the first time the hotel has had this option available. Be careful with this as advertised as free drink with premium brands included. This came across to us as all alcohol is free. This is not the case, there is a drinks menu you can choose from which includes san Miguel, some wines and spirits. The premium brands are baccardi and captain Morgans. We both only drink dissarono and this was not included. When we brought up the fact that we felt wording in hotel write up came across as all alcohol included, we were just shut down and ended up going to the supermarket to buy our own. My partner is celiac and has an allergy to gluten, we have always felt Spain is great for gluten free catering but not here. There is an allergy list but it is badly printed as so small its hard to tell the difference between the different symbols. My partners dinner on the first night was peas and cabbage, not what you expect with all inclusive. If you dont have any allergies, there is a fair selection to choose from but feel there is much more choice at other hotels we have visited. Most other hotels also have all allergen info on each individual item label which is much easier to navigate. The gold lounge is still great with fridges full of soft drinks, a coffee machine and a selection of snacks. Lunch is great as its in the al la carte restaurant and the waitresses are amazing. They were great with the gluten free issue and even brought us gluten free rolls, I dont know why these are not available at breakfast or dinner. As for the room, its still very nice with an amazing view of the beach but when we arrived the patio door was broken and did not lock and on the 2nd day we heard water running, after going into the bathroom, water was flooding in through the ceiling. On first thought we believed the people upstairs may have flooded something but after looking with the maintenance guy it was caused by a build up from a dripping pipe. He also fixed the door while he was there. It was caused by one of the lock catches being previously stripped and a replacement being screwed on way too high interfering with the mechanisms. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard and all staff were friendly and helpful. We have stayed at this hotel for years as we love the location of the junior suites and the fact they have always felt quiet and exclusive, thats not so much the case anymore. Really feel the hotel would benefit by including all drinks with all inclusive GOLD PLUS or stipulating whats actually included in the advertisement and catering and labelling better for people with allergies.

Holiday

We have had a great full holiday in Hotel Pez Espada, Cariuhela, special the rooms on the ground floor with an own garden and the great garden with great sunbeds only for the 30 rooms in this part of the hotel. The breakfast and the diners were excellent. We have been already for the 5th time in Pez Espada, greatfull.
